Obituary for Cathy Scruggs

Cathy Marie Scruggs Porter A native and lifelong resident of Prichard, AL, born March 4, 1955 and departed this life on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at a local hospital. She is survived by a devoted mother, Lola Jean Ervin, daughter, Kittrelle Scruggs McCall of Whistler, AL, son, Phillip Porter of Mobile, AL, one grandson, Isaiah McCall; three sisters, Cherlyn Ervin (Wilbert) McCann, Oak Park, MI, Sandra Ervin (Nathaniel) Brown, Eight Mile, AL, Pamela Ervin (Pad) Brown, Montgomery, AL; five nieces, one nephew, one great niece, two aunts, Arnetta Sharpe and Josephine Horn of Huntsville, AL; two great-aunts, Leanna Woodard and Alice Sayles; one uncle, Herbert Allen and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 131 July Avenue, Prichard on Saturday, May 2, 2009 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. funeral hour. Rev. Julius Seals, Pastor and officiating minister. Interment will follow in Gethsemane North Cemetery. Services entrusted to Small's Mortuary. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Smalls Mortuary 950 S. Broad St. Mobile, AL.
