Mr. Charlie Thomas McCray Sr. a native of Choctaw County and a longtime resident of Mobile departed this life Saturday, February 9, 2008 at a local hospital surrounded by his loving family.He was preceded in death by his son, Bennie Ruffin. He leaves to cherish his memories wife, Lillian Juanita McCray, 16 children, Sandra (Mark) Robinson, Morris Austin, Cynthia (Marvin) Abrams, Lillian Elaine McCray, Charlie (Doreen) McCray, Edith (Lloyd) Witherspoon, Adrianne McCray-Steen, Beatrice (Adam) Marks, Wanda (Donald) Hicks, Theresa Coleman, Donald Hall, Willie James Kenner, Cedric (Alice), Antonio and Lyncoria (Janice) Monigan, Flossie McCray, 43 grandchildren, one devoted granddaughter, Sylvania Beckham, eighteen great-grandchildren, two sisters, one devoted, Shirley (Willie) Shavers and Ethel Williams, brother, Simmie Lott, devoted aunt, Wattie Ruffin, Butler, AL., one sister-in-law, Lillie P. Lott, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 11:00a.m. Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. Interment will follow in Morning Star Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, AL. Dignified and professional services entrusted to SMALL'S MORTUARY, 950 S. Broad St., Mobile.
