Obituary for Clarence Shute Sr.

Clarence E. Shute Sr. - Born September 7, 1933 departed this life on August 9, 2009. He was preceded in death by his mother Vera Pettaway and a son Kenneth L. Shute. Clarence was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carver Home. He was president of the Gospel Choir and a faithful member of the male chorus in which he loved praising God through songs. He was survived by his wife Sadie L. Shute, two sons Clarence E. Shute Jr., Rev. Anthony O. (Felecia) Shute, one daughter Demetrius (Melvin) Houston, all of Mobile. Two sisters, Deloris Taylor and Mary (Freddie) Windfield of Mobile, AL. One devoted cousin Shirley McRynold of Chicago IL., one devoted niece Variest (Darrel) Randle of Mobile, AL., one God daughter, Terri Evans of Mobile, AL. Three special friends Louis Brage, Hilman Spencer and Joe Burrell. Visitation will be Friday at Small's Funeral Home, 950 S. Broad St. 1pm-8pm. Saturday wake service 10am-11am. Funeral services at 11am at First Baptist Church of Carvers Home Reverend Anthony O. Shute Officiating. The body of Clarence E. Shute will be laid at Whispering Pines.
