Obituary for Clovece Jackson Jr.

Clovece Jackson, Jr. was born on September 5, 1946 in Mobile, AL to the late Bertha Mae and Clovece Jackson, Sr. He departed this life on Friday, February 5, 2016, at a local hospital. Clovece was a veteran of the United States Army, having served his country during the Vietnam War. Upon returning home from war, he lived in California for a short while before returning to Mobile where he held various jobs throughout the rest of his life. As he exchanges this life for his heavenly home, we are here today to help celebrate his home going.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bertha Mae and Clovece Jackson, Sr., sisters, Pamela Jackson and Lonjean Marie Jackson, brother, Gilbert Larry Jackson, grandparents, Roy and Nellie G. Jackson, Sheddrick Davis and Sallie Autry, and Mariah Martin.

Clovece leaves to cherish his memory four children, Clovece Jackson, III, Schauntell (Andretta) Jackson, Marciene Jackson, and Kandis Jackson of Mobile, AL; three sisters, JoAnn (Harold) Hardin, Ellen Delores Love, and Marla Kay Jackson of Mobile, AL; two brothers, David Andrew Jackson of Mobile, AL and Douglas Roy (Sandra) Jackson of Atlanta, GA; three aunts, Eleanor Ward, Dolores Blunt, and Beverly Dockery of Mobile, AL; one uncle, Bernard Jackson of Sacramento, CA; sixteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and special friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 12 noon until the 2pm funeral hour at Smalls’ Mortuary, Mobile, AL. Interment will follow in Chunchula Cemetery, Chunchula, AL.
