Obituary for Dave S. Coleman

Mr. Dave (Jody) Coleman, a native of Wilcox County and a resident of Mobile, AL for a number of years, departed this life Friday, March 21, 2014. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Coleman King, father, Ellis Armstrong, grandparents, Mr. Columbus and Nancy Scott Coleman, sister, Roxie Smith and brother, Will King. He is survived by a loving and very devoted wife of 48 years, Geraldine P. Coleman; three loving children, Karen Barge, Dave Coleman, Jr. and Wanda Coleman, all of Mobile, AL; four grandchildren; four sisters, Georgia O? Cain, Judith Pledger, Betty Braggs and Sharon Laster; two brothers, Crawford and Milton King; two aunts; one uncle; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in state on Friday, March 28, 20114 from 1pm until 8pm at Small?s Mortuary, Mobile. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Small?s Mortuary Chapel, Mobile, AL. Dr. James C. Taylor officiating minister.
