Obituary for David Johnson
David "DJ" Johnson, a native of Oak Hill and a resident of Mobile, died Tuesday. He was 49. He is survived by his wife, Edith George of Mobile; three sons, Clifford Cook of Stafford, Va., and Vernon George and Rodney George, both of Mobile; a daughter, Chanta George of Mobile; his mother, Annie Johnson of Daphne; three sisters, Cathy Johnson of Daphne, and Annissa Lutin and Nicole Johnson, both of Mobile; and two brothers, Algae Johnson of Daphne and Timothy Johnson of Mobile. Viewing will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday, and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral at Small's Mortuary on Broad Street. Burial will follow in Whispering Pines.
