Obituary for David Wallace

David Lee Wallace was born on January 12, 1942 to Joseph and Eva Mae Wallace in Mobile, AL. He departed this life on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Mobile Infirmary Hospital. David retired from the City of Mobile were he worked for twenty-five years. David was preceded in death by his father Joseph Wallace, mother Eva Mae Wallace, and son David Anderson. He leaves to cherish his memories, wife Elizabeth Wallace of Mobile, AL.; five brothers and sisters, Joseph (Dorothy) Wallace, James (Annie (Laffiette) Wallace, Gregory Wallace all of Mobile, AL., Johnnie (JoAnn) Wallace of Los Angeles, CA., Larry (Brenda) Wallace of Charleston, SC., Loretta (James) Smith, Mary (Eddie) Bell, Carry Scott, Rachel Thomas, Alice Pruitt all of Mobile, AL. and Maggie (Frank) Nelson of Moreno Valley, CA.; three devoted children Gloria (William) Koger, Sonja (Andrew) Dade, and Darrell (Jolika) Anderson all of Mobile, AL.; five devoted stepchildren, Raymond (Cynthia) Johnson of Mobile, AL, Andora Baker of Madison, MS., William Jordan Jr., Elizabeth (Daniel) Rand Sr., and Luciana (Cedric) Davis Sr. all of Mobile, AL. His memories will forever live on in his 35 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, and also special friend Earnest Dillard of Mobile, AL. His remains will lie in state Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church, 1350 Chiquapin Street, Mobile, AL. 36603 after 9:00 a.m. until the ll:00 a.m. funeral hour. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary, 950 S. Broad Street, Mobile, AL. 36603.
