Obituary for DEACON R. LEWIS

Deacon Leroy R. Lewis born February 3, 1937 in Orrville, AL passed from life to eternity on November 29, 2010. Deacon Lewis was a retired Master Rigger and Veteran of the United States Army. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Fredia M. Lewis; two sons, Ronald Lewis and Rev Donald Lewis; one daughter Ima Ekanem; four grandchildren; five sisters Mae Starks, Barbara (Marion) Brown, Georgia McQueen, Sebrena (Woodson) Huff and Phyillis (Reginald) Hatch; three brothers Rev Eugene (Rosie) Lewis, Samuel A. (Willie Mae) Lewis Sr., and Sylvester (Jennifer) Lewis; two aunts; three; one brother-in-law, Michael (Sharon) Powe; one sister-in law Marilyn Powe; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 3 from 1p until 8p at Small's Mortuary and on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Lily Baptist Church from 9am until the noon funeral services. Interment will be in Lawn Haven with Military Honors.
