Obituary for Deacon McBride Jr.

Deacon David McBride Jr., a native of Loxley, Alabama and a longtime resident of Daphne, Alabama was born April 24, 1932 and departed this life for reward on Wednesday, October 14, 2009. He was a devoted deacon and faithful member of Little Bethel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, three brothers and one granddaughter. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Earnestine McBride, nine devoted children, Patricia (Felix) Harrison, Lisa (Aaron) Jones, Robin Watson of Daphne, Alabama, Armestine (Anthony) Young of Loxley, Alabama, Billy (Wanda) McBride of Montrose, Alabama, Joanne (Deacon Harold) Watson of Atmore, Alabama, Marilyn Johnson of Mobile, Alabama, Leavaron (Jessie) McBride of Fairhope, Alabama, Jody (Stephanie) McBride of Herndon, Virginia, eight brothers, Peter (Jamesetta) McBride, Ronnie ( Barbar) McBride, three sisters, six sisters-in-law, one devoted, Gerri McBride of Houston, Texas, four brothers-in-law, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary on Friday, October 23, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Little Bethel Baptist Church, Main Street, Daphne, Alabama until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour with Rev. Donald Parker, officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Bethel Cemetery. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary, 950 S. Broad Street, Mobile, Alabama.
