Obituary for Deacon McKee

Thomas McKee - 88 a native of Greenville, AL. and a resident of Mobile, born February 26, 1918, departed this life peacefully Friday, December 15, 2006 at his residence. He was a devoted member of St. Louis Street Missionary Baptist Church for over sixty years, where he served faithfully as a Deacon and President of the Usher Board for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a retiree of L&N Railroad. He was preceded in death by daughter, Linda Ely, two sisters, Louise Warren and Rebecca Green, aunt, Julia Allen. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Ella Louise McKee, four children, Joseph(Jewel) Allen, JoAnn (Gary) Henderson, Samuel (Barbara) Allen, all of Mobile, Sandra (Carl) Thrash, New Orleans, LA., fourteen grands, eleven great-grands, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, two devoted James Rogers and Ella Bell Ball, both of Mobile, other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary, Wednesday, December 20, 2006 from 1-8pm and Thursday, December 21, 2006 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Lilly Baptist Church. Interment in Whispering Pines Cemetery. Dignified and professional services are entrusted to SMALL'S MORTUARY, 950 S. Broad St, Mobile, AL 36603
