Obituary for Dempsey Ervin Smith Jr.
Dempsey “Maine” “Heinz” Smith was born on October 27, 1948 in Mobile, AL. He exchanged this life for eternal life on Friday, September 11, 2015. He was a 19966 graduate of Lillie B. Williamson High School. Dempsey leaves to cherish his memories two loving sons, Torry (Angela) May, Sr. and Vincent May, Sr.; a loving daughter, Stacy Barker; two sisters, Gladys Smith and Carolyn S. Hollins; one brother, Kenney (Tressa) Smith; two grandsons, Vincent May, Jr. and Torry May, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in state on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 1pm until 8pm at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile, AL. Visitation will be held on Saturday, 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Revelation Missionary Baptist Church, 1711 Taylor Ln. Mobile, AL. Interment will follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery, Eight Mile, AL. DIGNIFIED AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ENTRUSTED TO SMALL’S MORTUARY, 950 SOUTH BROAD ST. MOBILE, AL, 36603.
