Obituary for Dorothy Byrd

Dorothy Byre Byrd, a lifelong resident of Mobile, Al. was born January 7, 1918 and departed this life on February 16, 2016.

She is survived by two daughters, Diann Bryant and Marcerlene (Tonni) Coleman of Mobile, AL; five grandchildren, Quisa (Lonnie) Nobles, Anwar (Dawn) Byrd, Ahmed Bryant, Ian Coleman and Courtnee (Clavence) Williams; twelve great grandchildren; two sisters; a host of other relatives and friends.

Her remains will lie in state on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 1pm until 8pm at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile, AL. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 251 North Lafayette St. Mobile, AL. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Mobile, AL.
