Obituary for Dorothy McCoy

Mrs. Dorothy M. McCoy-- a native of Montgomery, AL. born November 4, 1931, to the late Willie and Amanda Ealey Elmore and a resident of Daphne, and a former resident of Chicago, IL. where she met and married the late Mr. Emanuel McCoy, departed this life Sunday, May 20, 2007 at a local hospital. She was actively involved in her community. She was a member of The Daphne Senior Citizens Organization for over twenty years. She was a faithful member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Daphne. She retired from American Can Co., Chicago, IL. after thirty-two years of service. She leaves to cherish her memories and mourn her passing two sisters, Martha(John) Moore and Willie Mae(James) Whaley, both of Chicago, IL., a devoted cousin, guardian and caregiver for a number of years Linda E.(Charles) Hill, Mobile, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, caregivers other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, May 25, 2007 from 1-8pm and Saturday, May 26, 2007 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Daphne.
