Obituary for Dorothy Howze Rogers

Dorothy L. Howze Rogers, The daughter of the late Floyd (Willie Mae Hightower) Howze. A native and life long resident of Saraland, AL departed this life on Friday August 7, 2009 at a local hospital. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jarried and Eric Rodgers. She is survived by two children, and one devoted son and devoted daughter-in-law Jason (Charlotte) Rogers of Saraland, AL. and one daughter Valarie Jackson, Daphne, AL. Three sisters Shirley (Smitty) Washington, Mobile, AL, Mae Belle Klugh, Oakland, California and Viola Colston, Anniston, AL. A dear devoted friend Charlotte Holloman of Saraland, AL. 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary on Friday August 14, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday August 15, 2009 at the Cedar Street Baptist Church, 541 Cedar Street, Saraland, AL, 36571 until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour. Pastor Roy E. Powell, officiating minister. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Smalls Mortuary 950 S. Broad St. Mobile, AL.
