Obituary for Earl Poellnitz

Earl Lee Poellnitz- was born on June 7, 1935 to the late Mary Rembert and Burl David Poellnitz of Demopolis, AL. He departed this life on September 13, 2009 at home. He was a member of the United States Army where he served his country for 12 years (1954-1966) and received an honorable discharged. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lee Burl Poellnitz; sister Della Marie Poellnitz; and nephews Kenyale Bradberry and Cedrix Poellnitz. He leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted friend and caregiver, Earnest Pettway, Sr.; one brother, Isiah Poellnitz of Mobile; two sisters, Angelia (Lee) Dixon of Orlando, FL, and Renee (Terry) Williams of Mobile; one sister-in-law, Roxie Poellnitz; close friends, Joe Henry Abrams, Luzell Goodwin, Larry Barker and Atmore Pettway, Sr. as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other friends. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary on Thursday, September 17, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2009 until the 10:00 a.m. funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Pensacola National Cemetery. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary. 950 S. Broad St. Mobile
