Obituary for Elnora Powe

Mrs. Elnora Theresa Powe, a native and resident of Mobile, Alabama, was born November 15, 1928 to the late John and Adell Cotton. Mrs. Powe departed this life on Thursday, September 17, 2009 in a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie N. Powe of 64 years. Mrs. Powe was a longtime member of the Sodality. Among those sharing her memories are her nine children: Norman (Geneva) Powe, Patricia ( John) Ransom, Clarise (James) Walker, Leslie (Magaline) Powe, Delena (George) Knight, Iola (Sidney) English, Catherine (Kenneth) Wright, Barbara (J.D.) Eaton, Michael (Karen) Reeves all of Mobile, Alabama. Two sister-in-laws, Katherine Clement of Mobile, Alabama and Wrozell Slack of Jamaica, New York. A host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 from 1:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church until the 10:00 a.m. mass. Interment will follow in the Lawn Haven Cemetery. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary, 950 South Broad Street, Mobile, Alabama
