Obituary for Essie Jemison
Essie Lee Jemison was born August 9, 1939 and departed this earthly life on Tuesday, January 19, 2010. She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Annette Jemison King and Dora Yelding both of Daphne, AL.; one son, Jonas Jemison of Washington; one brother, Earnest Mitchell of Daphne, AL.; three sisters, Ethel Williams, Adaline Jones both of Daphne, and Thera Dilliard of Detroit, MI.; devoted grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a devoted friend, Rosa Woods, and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Chapel, Mobile, AL. on Monday, January 25, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Little Bethel Cemetery, Daphne, AL. DIGNIFIED AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ENTRUSTED TO SMALL'S MORTUARY, 950 SOUTH BROAD STREET, MOBILE, AL.
