Obituary for Ethel Marsh

Ethel Lee Marsh was born May 30, 1930 in Camden, Alabama. Her parents were James and Mariah Wiggins. She was one of twelve children, in a family of nine girls and three boys. Ethel accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Saint Wisdom Baptist Church in Camden, Alabama. After high school Ethel moved to Mobile, Alabama and married Joe Marsh. To this union was born one daughter, Phyllis Marsh. Ethel attended Bishop State College where she graduated with a degree in business. She joined St James Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Usher board and the Nurses Guild. She was also a faithfu; member of the Eastern Stars. She served faithfully at St. James until her failing health no longer allowed her to carry out her duties. Ethel Lee Marsh departed this life on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the home of her daughter Phyllis (Robert) Wilson, two sisters Carrie Pritchett, Ginnie Wiggins, three grandsons and eight great grandchildren. Her departure is also felt by many loving and devoted friends and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held on Saturday November 22, 2008 at Gethsemane Cemetery Mobile at 11:00 am. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Smalls Mortuary 950 S. Broad St. Mobile, AL.
