Obituary for Eugene Thompson

Mr. Eugene Thompson a native of Wilmer, AL and resident of Mobile, AL died at a local hospital. He was 79. A veteran of the U.S. Army, retiree of Ingall's Shipyard and a member of Moffetville Baptist Church in Wilmer, AL. He was preceded in death by his mother Eula Thompson, father, Ellis Thompson, 2 sisters Mae and Gladys Thompson 1 brother Aaron Thompson and daughter Orenita Jones. He leaves to cherish his love and life a devoted wife Lillian Hollis Thompson, 7 loving children, Linda (Luther) Reed of Mobile, AL Joyce (James, Sr.) Thompson Clark, of Birmingham, AL Carlos (Vivian) Thompson and Edward Thompson of Atlanta, GA Timothy (Rosie) Thompson of Mobile, AL and Latonya Thompson of Mobile, AL. Seven grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren four brothers Lonnie Thompson of Mobile, AL Frank (Helen) Thompson, David and Albert Thompson of Wilmer, AL two sister Ruth Thompson and Alnetta Anderson both of Mobile, AL. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and lifetime friends. Visitation will be Tuesday December 22, 2009 from 1pm til 8pm and Wednesday December 23, 2009 from 9am until the 11:00 funeral hours. Interment will follow in the Moffettville Cemetery - Wilmer AL. Dignified and Professional Services entrusted to Small's Mortuary 950 S. Broad Street Mobile, AL
