Obituary for Fred L. Richardson

MINISTER FRED L. RICHARDSON, a native lifelong resident of Prichard, Alabama born September 24, 1950 and was called to his heavenly home Friday, April 18, 2014 at a local hospital. He was a faithful Associate Minister of Philadelphia Baptist Church. He graduated from Mobile County Training School, and attended Dillard University. He received a Cosmetology and Barbering Degree from Bishop State Community College and became The Successful Owner of ?The Lemon Tree Beauty Parlor.? He also received a Degree in Theology from Word of Life Seminar School. Fred was preceded in death by his adopted parents, Howard and Priscilla Richardson, brothers, Bruce, and Anthony Carter, grandfather, Alexander Hicks. He leaves to cherish his memory, four sons, U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Louzine Hamilton of Fort Bragg, NC, Terrence (Janell) Hamilton, Fred McCarroll and Marshon Richardson, all of Mobile, AL; mother, Lucille H. Carter; two sisters, Cassandra Young and Brenda Carter, both of Mobile, AL; two brothers, Nicholas Carter and Alexander Carter, both of Mobile, AL; 9 grandchildren and one adopted granddaughter; five nieces; four nephews; one adopted niece; a devoted fianc?e, Margaret Pettaway, all of Mobile, AL; one great uncle, Milton Hill of Mobile, AL; a host of cousins and friends. His remains will lie in state on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 3pm until 5 pm at Small?s Mortuary, Mobile. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014 starting at 9am, the family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral hour at Philadelphia Baptist Church 1304 N. Wilson Ave. Prichard, AL 36610, Rev. Forrest Smith, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. DIGNIFIED AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ENTRUSTED TO SMALL'S MORTUARY 950 S. BROAD ST.
