Gene Washington was born November 22, 1969 in Mobile, Alabama. He transitioned to his heavenly home on July 16, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Edward and Alice Weston, grandparents Leonard Williams and Joanna Weston, Lawrence Edward Rankins and Ella Nora Rankins.
Gene will be remembered as a man who loved God, and who always had a smile on his face. He loved sitting around joking with family and friends and he never met a stranger.
His life will be cherished by his parents Willie James and Ella Rankins, wife, Lillian Washington; daughters Briana Rose Brewer, Shania Alysia Washington, Genevia Lamari Washinton, Riveria Genee Sumpter of Evergreen, Alabama and Kianna Lovell Meeks of Mobile, Alabama; two brothers Willie James Rankins Jr (Taquino) of Florida, Nickles Rankins (Leandra) of Montgomery, Alabama, four sisters, Andrea Fox of Montgomery, Alabama, Sharon Rankins Abrose(Kenneth) of Semmes, Alabama, Dionne Rankins and Willana Rankins of Calvert, Alabama, 7 grandchildren, Brother In Law Terrence Cooper, a devoted friend Kristi Cole and son Braxton Cole, a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins other relatives and friends.
