Obituary for George Allen

Mr. George Delbert Allen-- a native of Baldwin County and a resident of Point Clear, AL., born January 17, 1927 to the late George Allen and Ivonne Kemp, departed this life Wednesday, September 17, 2008 for a better place. He was united in holy matrimony to the late Tallulah Coleman Allen. He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Point Clear under the leadership of Rev. John L. Williams and he served many years on the Deacon Board. He was a veteran of the United Sates Army. He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Hazel Allen, Point Clear, AL. and Cynthia Dortch, Montrose, AL., three grandchildren, George T. Coleman, Delbert T. Allen and Ashley Dortch, two great-grandchildren, two brothers-in-law, Arnold and Willie Coleman, two sisters-in-law, Annie and Mary Coleman, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, one devoted, Mrs. Lucille Edwards, other relatives and friends, one devoted, Ida Martin.. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, September 26, 2008 from 1-8pm and Saturday, September 27, 2008 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Interment will follow, Point Clear Cemetery. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Smalls Mortuary 950 S. Broad St Mobile AL.
