Obituary for Hal Cheeseboro

Hal Cheeseboro, a native of Lower Peachtree, Alabama , was born November 15, 1939, to the late Jacob Lewis Cheeseboro and Roberta Packer, departed this life at a local hospital on Monday, October 5, 2009. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis and Clarence Cheeseboro, one daughter, Felicia Wise and nephew, Eric Watson. He retired from the City of Mobile Parks Department after 26 years of service. He was also a member of the Mt. Sinai A.M.E. Church. He is survived by his loving family, a devoted wife of 41 years, Frenzetta Cheeseboro. Three devoted daughters, Rochelle (Larry) Hunter, Christina Cheeseboro and Angela (Fredrick) Holsey, all of Mobile , Alabama . One son, Rodney (Fannie) Brasley of Greensboro, North Carolina. Two devoted grandsons, Carlos (Patrina) Brasley and Keion Brasley, foster mother, Alice Kaplan all of Mobile , Alabama . Five brothers, Charles (Tina), Willie Jacob Cheeseboro, both of New York, New York, two very devoted, George (Mary), Jacob (Genell) and Alvin (Sandra) Cheeseboro all of Lower Peachtree, Alabama. Seven sisters, Hattie Emanuel of Mobile, Alabama, Sharon (Mark) Jones, Rosie (Cecil) Stabler, Essie Morrissette and Francis (Jimmy) Davis all of Lower Peachtree, Alabama, Wilhelmina Cheeseboro and Cynthia (Willie) McCaskey both of Whatley, Alabama. One sister-in-law, Jeanetta (Andrew) Hunter, two brother-in-laws, Andrew ( Margaret) Leggett and Hanable Smith all of Mobile, Alabama. Two devoted cousins, James (Norkita) Cheeseboro and L.J. (Maxine) Carlton both of Mobile , Alabama. Four devoted friends, James Montgomery, Joe Walker, George McMillan and Ellis Little and family. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Special thanks to Dr. Warren and staff of Providence Wound Care. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary on Friday, October 9, 2009, the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2009, at the Mt. Sinai A.M.E. Church in Lower Peachtree, Alabama . Interment will follow at the Mt. Sinai Cemetery . Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary, 950 S. Broad Street , Mobile , Alabama.
