Obituary for Hattie Thompson Sister

Sis. Irene "Hattie" Thompson, a native of Dallas County, Alabama and a longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama, exchanged time for eternity on Friday January 4, 2008. She was born to the late Isaac and Susanna Thompson. She was a dedicated member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church (Crichton) where she faithfully served as an usher and in the mission department. Cherishing her memories are a devoted daughter, Sylvia (Tony) Huntley; a loving and devoted goddaughter, Binta (Tony Taylor) Thompson-Marriner; an adoring great-granddaughter, Ashanti Taylor of Farmington Hills, MI; a devoted sister, Minister Dorothy Thompson; three brothers, Johnny (Windola) Thompson, William (Lucy) Thompson and Peter (Leigh) Thompson; two loyal nieces, Mary (Alphonse) Johnson and Betty (Harold) Brown; a loving great niece, Yoko Allen; a devoted godchild, Glendora (Donnie) Coleman; a devoted friend, Johnny Beck; and special friend, including; the Guthans, Wilkins and Ralls families; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, January 11, 2008 from 1-8pm and Saturday, January 12, 2008 after 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral hour at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church (Crichton), 2667 Reaves Street. Rev. Dr. W.E. Jones is the pastor and officiating minister. Interment will take place at the Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. ARRANGEMENTS BY SMALL'S MORTUARY.
