Obituary for Henry L. Clarke

Deacon Henry L. Clarke a native of Thomasville, AL and a resident of Mobile, AL for over 50 years, born July 28, 1935, peacefully exchanged this life for eternity on Saturday, April 26, 2014 in his home in Mobile, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cossie and Bessie Pugh Clarke, three brothers, Jimmie, Augustus and Bill Clarke and one sister, Clara Samuels. He leaves to cherish his precious memories, a loving and deeply devoted wife and caregiver, Minnie Clarke; two devoted daughters, Elisha Clarke of Biloxi, MS, Delisa (Willie) Clarke Edwards of Mobile, AL; one devoted son, Michael Clarke of Mobile, AL; one step-son, Willie King, Jr. of Mobile, AL; one adopted daughter, Barbara Jones of Mobile, AL; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Stannie Brackett of Saraland, AL; one sister-in-law, Betty (Pete) Lovett of Crestview, FL; two brothers-in-law, Samuel (Debra) Causey of Tampa, FL and Claude Samuel of California; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, god children, loving church family and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 beginning at 10am, the family will receive friends from 11:30am until the 12noon funeral hour at Central Missionary Baptist Church 3400 St. Stephens Rd.
