Obituary for Howard Langham Jr.

Howard "Big Daddy" Vincent Langham Jr.-- a lifelong resident of Mobile born November 29, 1950 to Howard and Vivian Langham Sr. departed this life Thursday, September 4, 2008 at a local hospital. He was a devoted son, brother and friend to many. He accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Delaware Street Baptist Church. He received his education in the Mobile Public School System. He was veteran of the United States Army where he was honorably discharged. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Sr., sister, grand parents, several uncles, and aunts. He leaves to cherish his memories mother, Vivian Langham, two sisters, Larzetta Langham and Carrie Coats, five brothers, Stanley (Deborah) Carl, all of Mobile, Terrence (Marilyn), Baton Rouge, LA., LaDerrick (Latrice) Langham, Douglasville, GA., and Lee Newell, Oklahoma City, OK, a host of special nephews, nieces, friends, god sisters and brothers, cousins, other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, September 12, 2008 from 1-8pm and Saturday, September 13, 2008 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 461 Texas St. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery, Mobile. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Smalls Mortuary 950 S. Broad St. Mobile AL 36605.
