Obituary for Hubert Hunter Sr.

Hubert Hunter Sr.-- a native of Orrville, AL. and a resident of Mobile born May 18, 1930 departed this life Wednesday, February 18, 2009. He confessed Christ at an early age at John The Baptist Church, Orrville, under the leadership Rev. Jack Short. He was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Henry C. Avarhart. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Rosa Hunter, son, Hubert (Norma) Hunter Jr., three sisters, Margaret (Robert) Doss, Annie Avarhart, both of Detroit, MI. and Rosie Lee Conner, Far Rockaway, NY., two brothers, Frank Hunter and Willie Lee Hunter, both of Mobile, aunt, Estelle Underwood, two uncles, Y. Z. Hunter and Clarence Hunter, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, February 27, 2009 from 1-6pm and Saturday, February 28, 2009 after 12noon until the 2pm funeral hour at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Buford Hall, Officiating Minister. Interment will follow in the Whispering Pines Cemetery. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary, 950 S. Broad St., Mobile, AL.
