Obituary for Irene Moma Curtis

Mrs. Irene Curtis, born May 1, 1943 in Manila, AL and a resident of Whistler, AL. passed this life on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at a local hospital. She was a former employee of Kimberly Clark for over 22 years. She was a faithful member of the Macedonia Baptist, Prichard, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise H. Clark and John Clark, Sr.; one son, Marvin Davis; one sister; and seven brothers. She is survived by one daughter, Monica (Rudy) Fairley; honorary daughter, Samona Curtis; three grandchildren, Tykeria Jackson, ReKeisha Curtis, and Arisha Curtis; seven sisters; one brother; one aunt, Mary Kemp and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary on Friday, April 9, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 19, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 131 July Street, Prichard, AL.
