Obituary for Irma Lee Williams

Sister Irma L. Williams, a native of Alberta, Alabama, and a long time resident of Prichard Alabama, entered into eternal rest at her home on Sunday, January 10, 2016, following a brief illness. She was a graduate of Millers Ferry High School Class of 1941. Sister Williams was formerly employed at UJ Chevrolet. Sister Williams accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and became a member of Saint Joseph Baptist Church in Prichard, Alabama. She would later become a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church where she served faithfully as a Sunday school member and secretary of the Ushers Board.

She leaves to cherish loving memories, her devoted son and daughter in-law, Michael J. (Vernita) Williams of Chattanooga, Tennessee; four devoted grand children, grandson, Michael J. Williams II of Chattanooga, Tennessee, granddaughters, Tiffany N. Williams of Louisville, Tennessee, Danielle L. Williams of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Shanelle V. Williams of Nashville, Tennessee; one devoted brother, LC Williams of Whistler; two devoted sisters, Louise Woods also of Whistler and Anna Bell Davis of Mobile; three devoted nephews, James Woods of Whistler, Brian Coleman of Satsuma, and Marcus Williams of Whistler; nieces, Jeanette C. Howze, a devoted niece Anita W. Forde, Velma D. Mitchell and Cassandra Davis all of Mobile; a host of remaining relatives, friends and church family whom she loved dearly.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 starting at 9am, the family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral hour at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery North, Eight Mile, AL.
