Jaamal Y' Jamar "Melly- Mel" Brice-- a native of Brooklyn, NY. and a resident of Mobile, born May 18, 1980 , departed this life Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at a local hospital. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Henry White Sr., brother, Dewayne Odoms, two uncles, Carl and Johnny White. He was a member of Mt. Sinia Missionary Baptist Church. He leaves t o cherish his memories his mother, Mrs. Delmarshae W. Brice, Mobile, father, Mr. Mose Odoms, Brooklyn, NY., two sisters, Thea Odoms, Pensacola, FL. and Dawn Odoms, Brooklyn, NY., a devoted grandmother, Willie Mae White, five uncles, Henry Jr. (Sylvia), Tyrone and Jerald White, Willie Glover and Wilbert Johnson, five aunts, Denise (Archie) White, Cheryl (Harold) Phillips, Deanne (Derrick) White, Louise Dunn and Vernetta (Charles) Greene, great-aunt, Thea (Melvin) Jackson, a host of nieces, nephews, 30 cousins, two loving and devoted, Andrece White and Taurus Ivory, other relatives and friends, special, Nikeya "Baby" Cunningham, three devoted Lionel Busby, Bernard Jones and Shinitha Murray, all of Mobile. Special Thanks to the staff at USAMC 9th floor ICU unit. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, July 31, 2009 from 1-8pm and Saturday, August 1, 2009 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour Mt. Sinia Missionary Baptist Church, 860 S. Warren St., Dr. Rev. W. C. McNeil Sr. Pastor and Officiating Minister. Interment will follow in the Whispering Pines Cemetery. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Smalls Mortuary 950 S. Broad St. Mobile, AL.
