Mr. James Lacey Jones, Jr. (Nug & J.J) a life long resident of Mobile, AL. born September 14, 1959, departed this life for eternal rest on Monday, August 30, 2009. Preceded him in eternal rest was his grandparents, Plummer & Ida Thompson, his sister Ida Jones Powe, two uncles Ernest Baxter, Edward Thompson and his aunt Thelma Walters. Leaving to cherish his memories a loving and devoted mother, Bettie Jones, one devoted brother and sister-in-law, Jeffery (Murline) Jones of Huntsville, AL. His step father Calvin B. Jones. His step brother Gregory Crenshaw of Prichard, AL. Two devoted uncles Jesse Thompson, Charles Walters of Mobile, AL. Two loving and devoted aunts, Doris George, Carol Thompson. The loves of his life three devoted nephews, Terrence and Jonathan Jones of Huntsville, AL., and Sean L. Powe, Jr. of Mobile. One brother-in-law, Sean L. Powe, Sr. of Mobile, AL. Three very devoted friends, Terrence (Lisa) Turner of Mobile, AL., Pete (Paula) Detiege of Long Island, N.Y., and R. McRae, of Dauphin Island. His remains will lie in state on Friday, September 4, 2009 at Small's Mortuary from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Chickasaw Church of Christ, 415 Grand Blvd, Chickasaw, AL., until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary.
