Obituary for JAMES LEE

Mr. James Michael Lee, a native of Mobile, Alabama, a resident of Southaven, Mississippi and a former resident of Birmingham, Alabama. He was born January 05, 1969 and departed this life on Sunday, November 08, 2009. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church of Prichard, Alabama under the leadership of the late Reverend James J. Moore. After relocating to Birmingham, Alabama in 1991, he later joined the New Hope Baptist Church. He was a 1988 graduate of Baker High School. He was a graduate of the S. D. Bishop State Community College, Mobile, Alabama, receiving an Associateâ??s Degree as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). James also received a Vocal Scholarship to sing with the â??Bishop State Singers.â? He was employed by Imperial Security, Inc., in Memphis, Tennessee and while residing in Birmingham, he worked as District Manager for the McDonalds Corporation for many years. James was preceded in death by his brother Roy Anthony Lee; grandmothers, Sudie (Pugh) Jordan and Martha Rainey; grandfather Willie Pugh. He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted parents, Johnie (Peggy) Lee of Mobile, Alabama; a devoted sister Veronica (Willie) Miles of Milford, New Hampshire; a devoted brother Johnnie E. Lee of Mobile, Alabama; one sister-in-law Tawanna Lee of Mobile, Alabama; grandmother Jessie Lee and grandfather Johnny Jordan both of Mobile, Alabama; one great aunt, Pattie Thomas of Mobile, Alabama; and one very devoted aunt Luvenia (Robert) McGrew of Mobile, Alabama; and host of devoted aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. James had a host of friends, one life-long and best friend Minister David J. Fairley of Mobile, Alabama and two devoted friends, Jeff Washington of Memphis, Tennessee and Mario Graham of Southaven, Mississippi. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary on Friday, November 20, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2009, at the Greater Nazaree Baptist Church, 511 Joseph Blair Street, Mobile, AL 36603, until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour.
