Obituary for Janala Marie Batteaste

Janala Ann Marie Batteaste-- born April 9, 2007 in Mobile to Kenyata Neal Williams and Rico Batteaste was called to play on God's playground Tuesday, July 28, 2009. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Barbara Neal, uncle, George Neal, great-grandmothers, Elezibeth Wright and Azlene Scarbrough. She leaves to cherish her memories and mourn her passing five sisters and three brothers, Monyetta Neal, Traneiria, Raven and Zariah Williams, DeArius and Keimora Batteaste, all of Theodore, DeRico and DeMarcus Batteaste, both of Mobile, four aunts, Shamanda (Dewarrick) Washington, Tyna and Willie Kennedy, both of Mobile, Jessica McCants, Shunetra Quinnie, both of Theodore, three devoted grandparents, Marylnn and Donald Batteaste and Johnnie Lee Payne, all of Theodore, great-grandmother, Joanna Batteaste, Mobile, two uncles, Steven Neal and Darius (Shaquita) Neal both of Theodore, a host of uncle, aunts, cousins other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in state at Mt. Arat Missionary Baptist Church, Saturday, August 8, 2009 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Lawn Haven Cemetery. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Smalls Mortuary 950 S. Broad St. Mobile, AL.
