Mrs. Jessie Mae Blackmon Davis - died at her residence on March 11, 2010. She was born February 11, 1928 in Lower Peach Tree, AL to the late Mr. Jesse and Mrs. Mariah Blackmon. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis is survived by her children: Betty D. (Franklin) Fletcher, Madison, AL, William "Mickey" (Dorothy) Davis, Jr., Rochester, New York, Linda Davis, Cordova, TN; Debra Just, Memphis, TN; Darlene (H. James) Chatmon, Mobile, AL; Clifton Davis, Cordova, TN and George T. Gates, Jr., Mobile, AL; Grandchildren: Antris (Julian) Green, Chicago, IL; Jessica (David) Brunes, San Antonio, TX, Natasha (Davenel) Denis, New York, NY; Jana Humphrey, Madison, AL; Brina Bolden, Dallas, TX, Ashley Davis, Athens, AL; Nadya Davis, Decatur, AL and Seth Edmond Davis, Muncie, IN. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 1:00PM until 8:00PM and Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 10:00 AM until the 11:00AM funeral hour at Friendship Baptist Church, 2667 Reaves Street, Mobile, AL. Rev. W. E. Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens, Theodore, AL.
