Obituary for Jessie Lewis

Mrs. Jessie Lee Lewis-- a native of Alberta, AL. and a resident of Mobile, born January 28, 1938 to the late Wiley and Lucille McMillian Sr., departed this life Monday, November 3, 2008. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wiley Jr. and Hardy McMillian She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted husband of fifty-five years, Willie Paul Lewis, Mobile, five sons two devoted, Ronnie McMillian and Gregory, Frederick (Brenda) , Danny, all of Mobile and Willie (Ella) Lewis, Sacramento, CA., three daughters, two devoted, Barbara Pennington, Atlanta, GA., Jacqueline (Carleton) Tyus and Serethersa Ellis, both of Mobile, fourteen grandchildren, one very devoted Cartasia Tyus. six great-grandchildren, three sisters, two devoted, Evelyn (Sammie) Eaton, Sarah Hinkle, both of Mobile and Minnie Merrill, Minneapolis, MN., two brothers, Ebb, Mobile and David McMillian, Chicago, IL., a host of nieces, two devoted Diane Eaton and Leanna Jordon, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday November 7, 2008 from 1-8pm and Saturday, November 8, 2008 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Mobile. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Smalls Mortuary 950 S. Broad St. Mobile, AL 36603.
