Obituary for Jessie Boy Williams

Jessie Williams affectionately known as ""Sonny Boy"" departed this life on Friday, December 11, 2009 at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Georgia Williams, one brother Johnny Williams Jr., six sisters, Annie Mae Powell, Florita Young, Ella Smith, Dorothy Mae Gray, Ethel Barron, and Lucille Young; one daughter, Georgia McMillian; and one grand-daughter, Margo Gray. He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife, Ada Bell Williams; seven daughters, Carolyn Gray of Los Angeles, CA., Glenda Hudson, Mattie (Anthony) Evans, Barbara (Collin) Austin, Theresa (Joseph) Moore, Terria (Bernard) Moore and Melaney Williams; two sons, Jessie Johnson and Archie Johnson; two sisters, one devoted, Mary Williamson all of Mobile, AL., and Elnora Colin of Atlanta, GA.; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary on Friday, December 18, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 19, 2009 after 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Funeral hour at Holmes Street Baptist Church, 316 Max Street, Prichard, AL. Pastor Keithrum Leatherwood officiating. Interment will follow in the Gethsemane North Cemetery, Shelton Beach Road, Eight Mile, AL. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary, 950 South Broad Street, Mobile, AL.
