Obituary for Jonathan Bradley Sr.

Jonathan Bradley, Sr., "Red" a native of Wilcox County , Alabama and a longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama , passed away in a local hospital at the age of 84, on Friday, October 2, 2009. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II and a retired certified diesel mechanic from Warrior and Gulf Navigation. Mr. Bradley was a long time member of Canaan Baptist Church of Mobile. He was preceded in death by one son, SSGT Herman Bradley. He leaves to cherish in loving memories his children, Aundrey Bell of Los Angeles, California, Joanne (Glenard Sr.) Siggers of Mobile, Alabama, Jonathan Jr. (Sharon) of Detroit, Michigan, Cynthia of Mobile, Alabama, Travis of Tallahassee, Florida, Reginald and Harlan G. both of Atmore, Alabama and Perry R. Bradley of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. One sibling, Dorothy Gamble of Jacksonville, Florida, twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren, a beloved nephew, James (Gloria) Thomas of Mobile, Alabama. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins as well as other special friends. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary on Friday, October 9, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2009 until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour at the Canaan Baptist Church, 863 Summerville, Street. Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Dignified and professionals services entrusted to Small's Mortuary, 950 S. Broad Street, Mobile, Alabama.
