Obituary for Lawrence Kojack Cannon

Lawrence Edward Cannon Jr. "Kojack", a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama was born February 18, 1975 and departed this life on Monday, September 28, 2009. He was a member of Straightway Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence E. Cannon, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Jalanda M. Cannon, six children, Ladarius Cannon, Lakendrick Cannon, Katlynn McCorvey, Lawrence Cannon-Dixon, Jamarcus Johnson and Jacameron Dread, his mother, Carolyn Campbell, devoted stepfather , Pastor Eric T. Campbell, all of Mobile, Alabama. Two sisters, Bridgette (Tommy) Cannon of Mobile, Alabama, Erica (Carlos) Scott of Japan and Shawanda Hunt of Fayette, Mississippi. Grandparents, Tony and Annie Gamble, mother-in-law, Dorothy (Larry Smith) McCorvey all of Mobile, Alabama. Father-in-law, Willie B. Allen of Demopolis, Alabama. Three sister-in-laws, LaQuisha (Jason) Beard of Citronelle, Alabama, Emitha (Sean) Jackson and Brenda Flanning both of Mobile, Alabama. Two brother-in-laws, Sanwon McCorvey and Christopher (Jasmine) McCorvey both of Mobile, Alabama. Six nieces, three aunts, a host of cousins, one devoted, Mark Cannon, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, two devoted, Keenan Shute and LaTasha Flowers. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary on Friday, October 2, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. at the Sunlight District Auditorium, 700 Seminary Street, Prichard, Alabama until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Whispering Pines Cemetery. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary, 950 S. Broad Street, Mobile, Alabama.
