Obituary for Lawrence Chink Hutson Sr.

Lawrence Augustus Hutson, Sr. ``Chink"- a native of British Guiana and long time resident of Mon Louis Island and resident of Mobile, AL. Was born on August 8, 1920 and departed this life on Sunday, February 7, 2010. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church were he served as a Altar Server. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a member and past president of club 31, and member of American Legion Post #250. He was a retired merchant Seaman (NMU). He leaves to cherish his memories three children, Lawrence A. ``Larry" Hutson Jr. of Auckland, New Zealand, Elicia Hutson (Bobby) Brown of Eight Mile, AL, And David Hutson of Mobile, AL; one sister, Ileen Fort-Leung, Teanack, NJ; a special friend, Elizabeth Duggin of Mon Louis Island, AL; three grandchildren, Jessica (Brandon) Bell of Saraland, AL., Jia and Jennifer Brown of Eight Mile, AL.; LCDR Bobby (Regina) Brown USN Kailua, HI, and Stacy (Melissa) Brown of Douglasvillle, GA.; six nieces and nephews, Marlyne, Brenda, Renee, Barbara, Philip and Noel; and many loyal and devoted friends including Edward ``Buster" and Alphonsine Lyons of Mon Louis Island, AL. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary on Wednesday, February 11, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Thursday, February 12, 2010 after 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour at St. Rose of Lima, Mon Louis Island.
