Obituary for LAWRENCE KIMBROUGH Jr.

Lawrence Kimbrough Jr.-- a native and resident of Mobile, born January 6, 1928 to the late Lawrence and Minnie Kimbrough Sr., departed this life Saturday, September 6, 2008. A retired Longshoreman of Alabama State Docks. He was preceded in death by his wife Marie Martin Kimbrough. He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Jacqueline (James) Warren, Tah' Mykal Ashley, two sons, one devoted Michael Ashley, all of Mobile and Charles Kimbrough, Houston, TX., seven grandsons, a host of great grandchildren, neices, nephews, other relatives. Special thanks to five devoted friends and neighbors, Alison Chester, Eric Carter, Laurane Lucas, Robert Smith and Marie Carroway. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, September 12, 2008 from 1-8pm and Saturday, September 13, 2008 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Delaware Street Baptist Church, 701 S. Lawrence St. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery, Mobile. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Smalls Mortuary 950 S. Broad St. Mobile AL 36605.
