Obituary for Leanda Hyman

Leanda Hyman-Hunter, a native of Birmingham, Alabama and a resident of Mobile, Alabama was born on February 9, 1945 and gave her life to Christ on September 25, 2009. She was preceded in death by her father, Sydney Hyman Sr., mother, Sadie Hyman Simpson, brother, Joe Earl Simpson, stepfather, Joe Simpson and sister, Manella Brown of Birmingham, Alabama. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 43 years, Milton J. Hunter , Sr. In their union were three daughters and one son, Candice (DeWayne) Bates of Ellenwood, Georgia, Maria (Carlos) Henderson, Marlecia J. Hunter and Milton (Tracie) Hunter all of Mobile, Alabama. She also leaves in mourning six sisters, Elaine ( Terrill) Triggs of Gary, Indiana, Josephine Smith of Houston, Texas, Donnie (Thomas) Moyd of Atlanta, Georgia, Sandra Stevenson, Barbara Weilderhold and Joann (Willie) Walker all of Mobile, Alabama. Two brothers Sydney ( Judy) Hyman Jr. of Bath, Maine and Leroy Skanes, a devoted mother-in-law, Mrs. Leanner Hunter of Mobile, Alabama, fourteen grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary on Friday, October 2, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, October 3, 2009 after 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Lawn Haven Cemetery. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary, 950 S. Broad Street, Mobile, Alabama.
