Obituary for Lorenzo Prichard Red Betti

Lorenzo N. "Prichard Red" Bettis, Sr. -- a native of Prichard and a resident of Mobile born March 22, 1933 departed this life Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his wife Sharmineta Bettis, parents Charly and Veretta York Bettis. He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Veretta and Deana Chaney, three sons, Lorenzo Chaney, all of Mt. Vernon, La Morrison and Larry (Shirley) Kennedy, both of Mobile. Grands, Jermaine, Jamaica and Shamone Curtis, Dynasty, Maurice and Reneisha Crocker, and Rodney Pitts; a host of great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends, a longtime companion Janice Chaney, Mt. Vernon. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary, Tuesday, January 9, 2007 from 1 - 8 p.m. and Wednesday, January 10, 2007 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour. Interment in the Morning Star Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, AL. Dignified and professional services are entrusted to SMALL'S MORTUARY, 950 S. Broad St, Mobile, AL
