Obituary for Lucille Douglas Tilley

Lucille V. Douglas Tilley a native of Daphne, AL and a resident of Spanish Fort, AL born April 16, 1931 and departed this life August 17, 2009 at a local hospital. She gave and received much love from those close to her. She was a professional seamstress and an awesome cook for several organizations. She was a former member of Sweet Pilgrim Baptist Church and presently a member of Mt. Aid Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Senior and Melvina Douglas; Four children Elain, Robert Earl, David Lee, and stepdaughter Valayasa; two brothers Steven and Samuel and five sisters Berdie, Earline, Pauline, Elizabeth, and Louise. She leaves to cherish her memory five children Charles (Nazarene), Alvin , Benjamin, Dennis and Kaprena; two brothers Carl and Elbert three sisters Ella, Ethel, and Amantha and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews many more family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 21, 2009 at the Mt. Aid Baptist Church Hwy 90 Daphne, AL. from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM and after 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 22, 2009 until the 1:00 PM funeral hour. Rev. George Collins pastor and officiating minister. Interment will follow in the Mt. Aid Cemetery. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary 950 S. Broad Street Mobile, AL.
