Obituary for Luella Ramsey

Luella Giles Ramsey, a native of Emelle, AL. and a long time resident of Mobile, AL., was born June 9, 1918 and passed this life on Thursday December 3, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband Levi Ramsey, a son Leon Ramsey, her parents Gennie and Hannah Giles, two brothers Nathaniel and Benjamin Giles, two sisters Addie B. Ramsey and Estelle Gaines. Her survivors include three sons, Benjamin (Cora) Giles of Mobile, AL., Archie (Dawnne) Ramsey of Cincinnati, OH., and Oscar Ramsey of Mobile, AL.; One Daughter Lureather R. Hamilton of Atlanta, GA.; Seven grandchildren Kenneth Ray (Gwendolyn) Glasker of Mobile, AL., Viveca F. Giles of Arlington, TX., Marcus (Tonasha) Giles of Mobile, AL., Deron (Camille) Giles of Mobile, AL., John (Tunmorya) Bennett of Colorado Springs, CO., Stacy Hamilton and Ashley Hamilton, both of Atlanta, GA.; Four sisters Adella Johnson, Adeline Sutton both of Hamilton, OH., Arizona Bowden and Florence Allison both of Detroit, MI.; Two brothers Jimmie (Louise) Giles and James L. Giles both of Mobile, AL.; Eight great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, December 11, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour at Mr. Carmel Baptist Church, 1712 Chestang Street, Prichard, AL. Interment will follow in the Gethsemane Cemetery, Mobile, AL. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary, 950 South Broad Street, Mobile, AL
