Lula was born to the proud parents of Sidney Williams, Sr. and Clarita Coleman Williams. She is the fourth sibling of seven children. Lula accepted Christ at an early age and dedicated her life to serving the Lord. Lula faithfully worked in the church serving in numerous auxiliaries. Throughout her life, Lula won the trust and hearts of many, who even now are being changed by her witness of selfless love, wisdom, and faith in God. Her spiritual gift of exaltation, shown through her wisdom, love, laughter, and words of encouragement, will never be forgotten.

Lula married her high school sweetheart, Carl Robinson, and through this union had three children; LaKasha Robinson, TaShayla Robinson, and Carl "Bradley" Robinson.
