Obituary for Margie Dixon Covey

Mrs. Margie Neal (Dixon) Covey was born May 8, 1939. She was a Saraland native and a resident of Mobile, AL. She exchanged this life for eternity on Saturday, March 27, 2010. She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of Union Missionary Baptist Church of Plateau, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Leola Dixon; two devoted sons, Stanley Covey and William Covey Jr.; three sisters, Edwina Jones, Ernestine Rodgers, and Frances Chestang; three brothers, Elmer Dixon, Willie Dixon, and Marvin Dixon. She leaves to cherish her memories a husband, William Covey, Sr.; two devoted daughters, Elizabeth (Jerry Sr.) May, Willamener (Benjamin II) Gales, one devoted son, Anthony (Kathy) Covey; twenty three devoted grandchildren; thirty three devoted great grandchildren; two sister-in-laws, Delcine Dixon and Lucille Walker; three devoted friends, Odell Johnson, Mabeline Stevens, Jackie Brown, and a host of other family and friends. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary on Friday, April 2, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 3, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 funeral hour at Union Baptist Church, Plateau, AL. Interment will follow in the Bailey Cemetery, Saraland, AL.
