Obituary for MARGUERITE DINKINS

Ms. Marguerite Spears Dinkins, a resident of Mobile, AL and a native of Walker Springs, AL died on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Sacred Heart Residence (Little Sisters of the Poor). She was preceded in death by her husband A.J. Dinkins and five sons Amos, C.J., Clarence, Clyde, and A.J. She leaves to cherish her precious memories two sons, James Dinkins, Grove Hill, Al and Fred (Carol) Dinkins, Belleville, MI; a devoted daughter and son-in-law Earline (Rev. Sylvester) Adams, Eight Mile, AL. She was inspirational in rearing four of her grandchildren, Marcia Dinkins Smith, Cecelia Dinkins Pogue, Devon Adams, and the late Gregory Dinkins. She has fourteen other grand-children, and three generations of great-grandchildren; one brother, Allen Spears, Chunchula, AL and two sisters, Alice Brown, Beverly Hills, CA and Sarah Glenn of Whistler, AL; a devoted cousin, Voncille McWilliams Stallworth and a devoted family friend, Autry Ruffin, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in state at the Little Sisters of the Poor Sacred Heart Residence, 1665 McGill Avenue, Mobile, AL, Friday, October 8, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, Walker Springs, AL from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour. Interment will be in the Hotel Hill Cemetery, Walker Springs, AL. DIGNIFIED AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ENTRUSTED TO SMALL'S MORTUARY, 950 S. BROAD STREET, MOBILE, AL 36603.
