Obituary for Marjorie L Hall

Sister Marjorie Quinney Hall, a resident of Daphne, AL, was born on February 3, 1933 to the union of James and Louise Quinney--both preceded her in death. Our Lord took a stroll in His garden on September 6, 2015, looked down from Heaven and knew He needed that ONE extra flower in full bloom to make His bouquet at His table complete. So, the Lord our God, pulled that flower from His garden when we were not looking, and placed Marjorie at His table. While God gave her time to blossom here on this earth, God placed her in a loving union with Mr. Johnnie Lee Hall for more than 60 years. Marjorie made her home with Johnnie in Daphne, Alabama, after she graduated from the Baldwin County Training School in 1952. She always had a great love for children, so she often did substitute teaching in the Baldwin County School System. She was a devoted member of Mt. Aid Missionary Baptist Church. Faith in our God was her center, then came her family. Always led by the Lord, and always with a gentle spirit. She was a Sunday School teacher, worked with the Women's Ministry, Willing Workers, Choir Member, Deaconess, was looked upon as one of the Mothers of the Church, and a member of the Eastern Star, but most of all, SHE WAS A CHILD OF GOD--SHE KNEW HIM, AND HE KNEW HER. In spite of all of this, God knew which flower he needed, so, He reached down and plucked our flower from His garden and placed her at His table. She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving and devoted husband and best friend, Johnnie Lee Hall. Four sons, Joseph (Brenda) Hall; Marvin (Helen) Hall. Jonathan (Charlotte) Hall, and Kenneth Hall. Two sisters, Lena Mae Quinney and Jamesetta (Charles) McBride; one brother, Jeff (Laura) Quinney; 5 grand-children, Christopher Hall (who preceded her in death); Meshawn Boutte, Courtney (Reginald) Johnson, Clarice (James) Black, Marvin (Evelyn) Hall, Jr., Bryson and Shannon Hall; 4 great-grands, Jasiah Boutte, Israel and Cal Johnson, Coningsby and Deaglan Black, Lyric and Melody Hall; 3 aunts, Amantha Johnson, Ella Glenn, and Ethel Bell; 2 uncles, Carl Douglas and Senior Douglas; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Hall's remains will lie in state on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Smalls Mortuary, Fairhope, AL. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 9:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral hour at the Mt. Aid Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Mt Aid Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. DIGNIFIED AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ENTRUSTED TO SMALL'S MORTUARY, INC. 24336 HWY 98, FAIRHOPE, AL.
