Obituary for Mary Abrams

Mrs. Mary "May" Abrams-- a native of Wilcox County, AL, born to the late Eliza Booze and Jonnie King, December 13, 1925, departed this life Sunday, November 1, 2009 at a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Abrams, sister, Arania Pettway and nephew, Lavorn Pettway. She leaves to cherish her precious memories a very loving and devoted nephew whom she raised as a son, Tremaine Washington, niece, Audrey (Jerome) Merity, three nephews, Ronald (Mary), Woodrow (Leda), all of Mobile, and Charles (Alice) Pettway, Boston, MA, two cousins, Willie Ann Ivory and Dorothy Williams, a host of great nieces and nephews, two devoted, Jerome and Keiara Merity, a devoted friend, Mrs. Katie McCall, other relatives and friends. Her remain will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, November 6, 2009 from 1-8pm and Saturday, November 7, 2009 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Lawn Haven Cemetery. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary, 950 S. Broad St. Mobile, AL.
