Obituary for Mary Elizabeth Alexander

Mrs. Mary Taylor Alexander, a native of and lifetime resident of Mobile, AL was born April 6, 1934 to the late Conrad Taylor and Margaret Marshall. She peacefully passed away on March 4, 2015 at the age of 80, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was united in marriage to Dave Alexander, Jr. on August 14, 1954. They recently celebrated their 60th year anniversary. She was a member of St. James Major Catholic Church for over 50 years and a graduate of Most Pure Heart of Mary High School. She worked for the Mobile County Public school system where she retired after many years of service. She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her loving and devoted husband, Dave Alexander, Jr.; five children, Dave (Veronica) Alexander ,III of Huntsville, AL, Michael “TK” Alexander (Pam) of Sacramento, CA, Michelle (Anthony) Jackson, Yolanda (Len) Bendolph, both of Mobile, AL and Allison Finney of Oceanside, CA; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; two sisters, Conradean Thomas of Sacramento, CA and Carole (Angelo) Washington of Dallas, TX; one brother, Rev. Rouville (Theresa) Fisher of Mobile, AL; devoted cousin, Theresa (Willie) Allen; devoted daughter-in-law, Hattie Alexander; two devoted friends, Amanda Dixon and Clariece Finney; devoted neighbor and friend, Cornelia Culpepper. Her remains will lie in state on Monday, March 9, 2015 from 1pm until 8pm at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile, AL. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 9am until the 10am Mass of Christian Burial Celebration at St. James Major Catholic Church 714 College St, Prichard, AL. Interment will follow in the Catholic Cemetery, Mobile, AL. DIGNIFIED AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ENTRUSTED TO SMALL’S MORTUARY 950 SOUTH BROAD ST. MOBILE, AL.
